Moriarty teams across Massachusetts, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida celebrated Construction Safety Week 2026, reinforcing our shared commitment to keeping every person safe on every site, every day. This year’s theme “Recognize. Respond. Respect.” guided a full week of stand‑downs, demonstrations, trainings, and conversations across our projects.
Our Safety Directors opened the week with a reminder that safety is not a campaign; it’s a culture. They emphasized the importance of recognizing high‑risk activities, responding with the right controls, and respecting every hazard, every role, and every life on our sites. Teams were encouraged to participate, stay engaged, and use the week as a reset to recommit to our standards.
Highlights from the week included:
- Safety stand‑downs across multiple Moriarty sites, reinforcing hazard recognition and safe decision‑making
- Heat Illness Prevention training with Chiron Safety Group at the 75 Broadway/Volpe Demo project
- Rigging use and inspection demonstrations led by Lift All
- Power tool and fall protection presentations across Virginia projects
- Team appreciation lunches across several sites
- Raffles and recognition events celebrating the crews who keep our sites safe
- Strong participation and engagement across North Carolina projects, with teams stepping away from busy schedules to join discussions and reinforce shared safety values
Construction Safety Week may last five days, but our commitment lasts all year. Thank you to every team member who participated, asked questions, shared insights, and helped strengthen our safety culture.
At Moriarty, Safety isn’t a moment, IT’s HOW WE BUILD.
