At John Moriarty & Associates of Florida, safety remains a core value embedded in every aspect of our operations. We are proud to share our successful participation in National Construction Safety Week 2026, continuing our long-standing commitment to promoting a strong and proactive safety culture across all active jobsites and offices.
Throughout Safety Week, our teams engaged more than 1,068 employees through safety stand-downs, toolbox talks, vendor demonstrations, crew trainings, and field discussions focused on hazard awareness, engagement, and continuous improvement.
This year also marks an important milestone for our organization, as OSHA recognized our 12 years of participation in Construction Safety Week. Our first official certificate was issued in 2014, and since then, our continued involvement has reflected the long-term commitment our teams make every day toward protecting workers and strengthening jobsite safety throughout the construction industry.
The importance of initiatives such as Safety Week continues to be evident across the industry. Falls from elevation remain the leading cause of death in construction, accounting for 389 of the 1,034 construction fatalities recorded in 2024. OSHA also reported a nearly 20% reduction in fall fatalities investigated under its National Emphasis Program during the past year, reinforcing the positive impact that ongoing training, awareness, and proactive safety engagement can have across jobsites nationwide.
We would like to recognize and thank all Safety Managers, Superintendents, Project Managers, field personnel, subcontractors, and office staff who contributed to making this year’s Safety Week both successful and meaningful. Their leadership, participation, and daily commitment continue to strengthen the culture of safety shared across our organization.
Safety is not just a one-week initiative. It is a daily responsibility shared by every member of our team. Through continued collaboration, training, and field engagement, John Moriarty & Associates of Florida remains committed to creating safer jobsites for everyone involved in our projects.
