Exciting news from Cambridge, MA! Construction has officially begun on Biogen’s impressive new 16-story global headquarters in Cambridge’s Kendall Square. Following a ceremonial groundbreaking held on September 16th, 2025, this landmark project is now underway at 75 Broadway, adjacent to MIT within the Kendall Common development.

As the general contractor for this prestigious project, we’re honored to be building this 580,000-square-foot innovation hub that will consolidate Biogen’s local operations into a single facility when completed in 2028 – perfectly timed for the company’s 50th anniversary since being founded in Cambridge in 1978.

The groundbreaking ceremony welcomed Biogen CEO Chris Viehbacher alongside distinguished guests including MIT President Sally Kornbluth, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey (in photo), and Biogen co-founders Walter Gilbert and Phillip Sharp.

We’re proud to be part of this transformative project taking shape in what’s often called “the most innovative square mile on the planet.” This development not only represents a new chapter for Biogen but also reinforces Kendall Square’s status as a global hub for biotechnology and innovation.
