Building Information Modeling

32nd Floor and Composite BIM

BIM seems to have become the buzzword for the industry, but at JMA it has been embraced as a system that is a vital requirement for any successful project and is utilized as an essential tool on all our projects.

At JMA, (BIM), or Building Information Modeling is used as strategic tool to seamlessly integrate often diagrammatical mechanical, structural, and architectural plans into a composite “real time” working model. As construction schedules are more commonly being constrained, the demand for fast tracked projects has become the norm. A fully functional BIM model easily allows us to facilitate construction change directives and deliver the information to the field in a timely, low impact manner.

Most importantly, JMA uses "clash detection” as an automated conflict report to identify all potential clashes before they become expensive field changes. This method of proactive conflict resolution has greatly reduced installation issues thus expediting the project schedule and practically eliminating all field coordination.

JMA recognizes that BIM has become a prevalent tool in the construction industry and requires all of its subs to be actively involved in this process. We ensure that we're up to date with the latest software and as the technology evolves year to year our coordinators participate in ongoing training to fully understand all facets of this innovative fusion of traditional and contemporary building techniques.

BIM seems to have become the buzzword for the industry, but at JMA it has been embraced as a system that is a vital requirement for any successful project and is utilized as an essential tool on all our projects.

Testimonial

My experience with JMA has been outstanding; they are both vigilant in protecting the interests of the owner as well as fair in how they treat their subcontractors.
